CHERRY’S GARDEN · THE DESIGN STORY
A little freedom. A little theatre.
A garden that feels soft, creative and a little bit cheeky. Somewhere to exhale, with room for Cherry’s personality to show up.

THE CHRONICLE · BY MARIE
What we started with
Cherry’s direction brought together low maintenance, a modest budget, Santorini airiness and English secret-garden softness. The existing lawn, shed, fences, deck and brickwork gave us a starting point. The brief was about making that space feel personal.
What I noticed
I wanted the journey through the garden to have little changes of mood: an arrival, a nook, softer edges and a reason to wander towards the far end. Those existing boundaries and bits of weathered brick could become part of the atmosphere.
The direction we developed
We worked through the views of her own garden, keeping the layout recognisable and building around it. The pebble threshold became a small moment of arrival. The nook brought a beautiful chair, soft curtains, a woven light shade and that round dusty-rose cushion. A single disco ball added a wink of Cherry among the greenery.
From a feeling to a plan
The guide turns that feeling into a sequence: clear and photograph, establish the entrance, test the lighting, then create the nook and soften the edges. Planting, starter buys, budget priorities and 36 months of tasks sit alongside the full visual collection. Cherry can tick off what she does and leave notes as it becomes her garden.
